HOLLYWOOD RADIO AND TELEVISION SOCIETY (HRTS) EXPANDS ITS POPULAR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM FOR 2021


TLC JOINS AS PRESENTING SPONSOR 

Applications Now Open as HRTS Combines Los Angeles and New York Mentorship and Goes Virtual Extending  Ability to Connect with a Mentor Regardless of Location  

Los Angeles, CA (December 16, 2020) Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) is expanding its popular mentorship program for 2021 offering even more opportunities for participants to benefit and build valuable skills and relationships within the industry. This year HRTS is combining Los Angeles and New York under one initiative and offering Executive-level mentors the option to choose their Coast of preference ensuring the best match for both mentor and mentee. The deadline to apply to be mentored is December 16 and the deadline to become a mentor is January 17. 

HRTS also announced that TLC has committed to supporting the program as the Presenting Sponsor. Additional sponsorships are available to support the careers of those who represent the future of the industry. The news was announced today by Marc Korman, President of the HRTS Board of Directors and Partner and Agent, WME Entertainment, and HRTS CEO Melissa Grego.

HRTS is currently accepting applications for the 2021 HRTS Mentorship Program. The 2021 mentorship program runs from March 2021 until September 2021. The 2020 program which attracted nearly 250 mentees in Los Angeles and New York, served as an important and powerful bright spot, offering guidance for so many amid the challenges this year.  

Mentors will be paired with a mentee who is a member of either HRTS Associates (Mid-Career), or JHRTS (Assistants & Coordinators) to become a valuable resource in helping to shape this next generation of executives as they experience these ever-changing stages of their career. 

HRTS Board Members David Madden, President of Berlanti Productions, and Chris Selak, President of End of Episode chaired the 2020 HRTS Mentorship Committee. They will return again for 2021, working with the Associates and JHRTS Mentorship Committees to continue developing resources to guide participants in the HRTS Mentorship Program.
