MELISSA GREGO (She/Her/Hers)

CEO

Melissa Grego is CEO of The Hollywood Radio & Television Society (HRTS), the leading membership association for networking, education and mentorship for all career levels of the TV and entertainment industry.

Upon HRTS’s 75th anniversary in 2022, Grego spearheaded the launch of the new standalone charitable organization, The HRTS Foundation, and serves as its Chairperson. The new org is dedicated to empowering individuals from underrepresented perspectives or backgrounds whose financial hardships, or lack of experience, is a barrier to success in the entertainment industry.

Grego joined HRTS in 2017 after running her own content and event consulting shingle with a mission to foster inclusion in the TV industry.

Prior to that she was a writer, editor and journalist covering the TV business. Among her work in journalism, she was Editor-in-Chief of Broadcasting & Cable magazine and held staff positions at The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Her personal essays have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post and Shondaland, and she has provided expert commentary on “Access Hollywood,” CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, Fox News and “Entertainment Tonight.”

She’s an amateur gardener; yoga, meditation and Pilates devotee; and has never missed a single episode of Law & Order: SVU.

KIRA HODGE-ROCHON

Senior Director of Operations

The longest-tenured HRTS employee, Kira is the rock of HRTS. She started out in July 2013 as the HRTS Office Manager, and rose to Senior Director of Operations, to which she was promoted in July 2023. She wears many hats with great enthusiasm as the leader of operations on our small but mighty team. Anyone who interacts with Kira knows immediately that she loves her work and is deeply invested in the organization’s impact on the TV and entertainment industry — especially when it comes to proudly witnessing our members grow in their careers.

Membership Coordinator

To quote the famous Giorgio Armani, “Elegance is not standing out, but being remembered.” Hailing all the way from the illustrious North Carolina, Josetta brings the southern charm and hospitality to the HRTS team as Membership Coordinator.

BENJAMIN ROMERO (He/Him/His)

Marketing & Graphics Coordinator

Benjamin joined the HRTS team back in 2020 as a Graphics Assistant and worked his way up to a Graphics & Marketing Coordinator. When he is not in the office at HRTS, he works as a professional photographer and freelance graphic designer.

Veteran communications professional Joe Schlosser and his PR agency Schlosser Communications started working with HRTS in February 2023. Schlosser has more than 25 years of experience in global media relations, publicity, and entertainment journalism. Based in Los Angeles, Schlosser has held top communications posts with a number of the entertainment industry’s leading networks and studios over the last two decades including NBC, The Hallmark Channel and Endemol Shine.
