HRTS FOUNDATION OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR INAUGURAL YEAR FELLOWSHIPS

The HRTS Foundation Launched to Support Underrepresented Professionals and Creatives 

Los Angeles, CA (September 16, 2022) The Hollywood Radio and Television Society’s (HRTS) newly launched HRTS Foundation announced today that applications for inaugural HRTS Fellowships are now open [https://hrts.org/the-hrts-fellowship-program]. Launched earlier this year by HRTS, the HRTS Foundation is a stand-alone 501c3 dedicated to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion in TV and entertainment. The HRTS Foundation aims to provide access to emerging professionals and creatives from underrepresented perspectives or backgrounds whose financial hardship or lack of experience is a barrier to success in the industry. HRTS Fellowship Program includes:

  • A hand-picked HRTS executive “sponsor” who will provide initial support, guidance, and introductions 
  • Complimentary one-year membership in HRTS Academic or Junior HRTS (JHRTS)
  • Guaranteed spot in the upcoming year’s HRTS Mentorship program
  • Tickets to HRTS events
  • Opportunity to participate in HRTS 75th Anniversary Gala

Announced earlier this year, the HRTS Foundation is a stand-alone 501c3 charitable organization with a mission to launch and nurture the careers of TV and entertainment professionals and creatives from underrepresented groups. The HRTS Foundation Directors and Officers include President Philippe Maigret (President, ITV Studios America); Chairperson Melissa Grego (CEO, HRTS); Secretary Robin Schwartz (Executive Producer); and Treasurer David Acosta (SVP & Team Leader, Entertainment, City National Bank).
