New HRTS Corporate Member: GK-TV

GK-tvGK-TV is the television division of Graham King and Tim Headington’s GK Films.  Launched in January of 2010, GK-TV is dedicated to the development, production and worldwide distribution of television programming.  Working with the biggest writers, directors and talent in entertainment, GK-TV has uniquely positioned itself as the premiere destination for cinema-quality television production.
Most recently, GK-TV announced the start of production on the Ireland based epic series CAMELOT starring Eva Green and Joseph Fiennes to air on the STARZ Network in early 2011.
Craig Cegielski is the President of GK-TV.


Craig CegielskiCraig Cegielski was named the President of GK-TV upon its launch in November 2009. A division of Graham King and Tim Headington’s GK Films, Cegielski will oversee all day to day operations of GK-TV including development, production and worldwide distribution.
The first project for GK-TV is the epic series, CAMELOT, which premieres in early 2011 on the Starz Network. Shot on location in Ireland, the series stars Eva Green, Joseph Fiennes, Jamie Campbell Bower and Tamsin Egerton.
Prior to GK-TV, Cegielski was the Executive Vice President, Programming & Sales for Lionsgate International Television.  There, Cegielski was responsible for oversight of all international distribution and acquisitions, sales and marketing for the international television group’s comprehensive slate of top-rated and critically-acclaimed entertainment programming.
While actively building the Lionsgate brand outside of the U.S. as both an acquirer and distributor of original programming, Cegielski was instrumental in orchestrating the company’s successful strategic approach to the global marketplace for shows such as Weeds, Mad Men and Crash.  Cegielski also oversaw production for series and long-form television, including game shows and reality programming made specifically for the international marketplace as well as achieved strategic volume deals with Nine Network Australia and Sky New Zealand and has successfully negotiated co-production deals with British Sky Broadcasting in the UK.
Additionally, Cegielski was the architect of several key deals that brought Lionsgate either the worldwide, U.S., or international rights to highly sought-after programming including drama series This is Not My Life and The Guard; comedy series Chandon Pictures; and reality shows Instantly Rich and Parenti Talenti; to name a few.  As well he has orchestrated overseas deals involving the production of localized versions for Paris Hilton My BFF and Dirty Dancing the reality series.
Prior to joining Lionsgate, Cegielski worked for CBS/Kingworld International specializing in local production and programming.  During his tenure, he successfully launched local adaptations of U.S. and international formats such as the hit series Amercia’s Next Top Model and highly-rated game shows such as Wheel Of Fortune, Jeopardy!, Hollywood Squares and The Vault.  He was also responsible for the acquisition new reality and game shows such as Word For Word.
From 1998 through 2004, Mr. Cegielski worked for Paramount Pictures in the co-production division of Paramount International Television.  There, his focus was in developing and producing programming for the international marketplace.  This emphasis produced an impressive slate that included four one-hour series, including USA Network’s hit drama The Dead Zone, two mini-series and 10 telefilms.
