HOLLYWOOD RADIO AND TELEVISION SOCIETY (HRTS) ANNOUNCES NEWLY ELECTED BOARD OF DIRECTORS COMPRISED OF LEADERS AND COMPANIES SHAPING THE INDUSTRY

HRTS Unveils Newly Formed Advisory Council of Past Board Directors including Craig Erwich, Andy Friendly, Kelly Goode, Ian Moffitt, David Nevins, Eric Schrier,  David Stapf, Sarah Timberman, and Jeff Wachtel to Advance the Organization’s Long Term Goals

LOS ANGELES, CA, September 10, 2019 – Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS) announced its newly elected members of the Board of Directors comprised of leaders from across the industry. HRTS also announced the inaugural HRTS Advisory Council formed by the Board of Directors and comprised of past Board Directors appointed by the 2019 HRTS Board’s Election Committee.

The 39 TV, media and entertainment industry leaders now guiding the organization include HRTS Board and Advisory Council members serving in leadership positions at such esteemed companies as A+E, Apple, Endeavor Content, CAA, CBS, FOX, FX Networks, Hasbro, HBO, Hulu, ICM Partners, NBCUniversal International Studios, Netflix, Pilgrim Media Group, Showtime Networks, United Talent Agency, Universal Television, Warner Bros. Television, Weintraub Tobin and WME, among others. HRTS Board of Directors President Marc Korman, Partner and Agent, WME Agency, and HRTS CEO Melissa Grego announced the new executive slate to members on Sept. 9.

Newly-elected to the HRTS board for a three-year term beginning in September 2019 are Kate Adler, EVP, Comedy Development, CBS Television Studios; Charlie Andrews, EVP, Drama Programming, Development & Event Series, Fox; Nick Grad, President of Original Programming for FX Entertainment; entertainment executive David Madden, who most recently served as President of Programming, AMC, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and AMC Studios; Andrew Miller, Agent, Television Department, CAA; Francesca Orsi, EVP and Head of Drama Programming, HBO; Craig Piligian, President / CEO, Pilgrim Media Group; Beatrice Springborn, VP, Content Development, Hulu; Odetta Watkins, EVP, Current Programming, Warner Bros. Television.

These Directors join Pearlena Igbokwe, VP of the HRTS Board and President, Universal Television; Dan Erlij, Partner, Co-Head, Television Literary Department, United Talent Agency; Chris Selak, Secretary of the HRTS Board and President, End of Episode; and Chris von Goetz, Founding Partner and Board Member, ICM Partners, who are currently serving terms as Board Directors.

HRTS also announced the formation of the HRTS Advisory Council comprised of past Directors appointed by the current HRTS Election Committee. The creation of the Advisory Council enables the organization to achieve its long-term goals by tapping the expertise of previous Directors to contribute in areas they are passionate about to advance the organization, open new areas of focus, and ensure HRTS remains a valued resource within the industry. The Advisory Council members serve an initial one-year term.
