Qualification Guidelines for HRTS Associates Applicants

Below are guidelines for membership in HRTS Associates. Our organization seeks to welcome mid-career entertainment professionals in all facets of the entertainment industry (TV, Film, Podcasting, Radio).

Executives (Creative, Marketing/ PR, Business Affairs, Legal, HR, etc.):
Manager, Director, Vice President level or equivalent title. Roles previously held within the past year will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

Representatives:
Agent, Manager, or Attorney at an established agency, production company, or firm. Please provide a link to an IMDB or Studio System page where applicable. 

Writers:

  • WGA member with TV credits as Story Editor or above on at least one season or series, OR the equivalent in animation, scripted podcasts, unscripted/ documentary, and digital series projects at established networks;
  • Writers with a series in active development at a major studio or production company; OR
  • Writers with at least one feature-length film produced or who have sold a script to a major studio.

Directors:
At least one director credit on a TV series, TV special (on a streaming, cable, or broadcast network), scripted podcast (on an established podcast network), completed feature-length film, branded series, or premium music videos; OR full DGA member.

Producers and Production Crew:
Credit as a Co-Executive Producer, Producer, Co-Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, Casting Director (or equivalents) on a series, TV special (on a streaming, cable, or broadcast network), scripted podcast (on an established podcast network), completed feature-length film, branded series, or premium music video series. Independent Producers with an active slate of projects in development with established writers, directors, studios, networks, or financiers are also invited to apply. Associate Producer credits will be considered on a case-by-case basis due to the variability of the role on projects.

Don’t see your job here? We understand that at many companies, titles like “Team Lead” or “Creative Executive” may be equivalent to some of the positions above.
