Internship Opportunity
In addition to the writers, JHRTS NY is seeking ONE exceptional Academic Member to serve as the Writers’ Assistant Intern for the 2026 season. This is a high-visibility, “inside-the-room” residency designed to mirror the exact responsibilities of a professional TV Writers’ Assistant.
Your Role in the Room
This internship provides a masterclass in the “nitty-gritty” of TV production. Your contributions will be vital to the room’s success:

- Creative Continuity: Assist the Showrunners in maintaining the Series Bible and tracking character arcs across the season.
- The Speaker Series: Act as a liaison for our 2026 Speaker Series, interacting with creators from Netflix, Disney, and HBO.
- Logistics & Flow: Manage virtual whiteboards (Miro), communal documents, and session materials to ensure a seamless “development” environment.
Visibility: You aren’t just an assistant; you are a peer in the creative process, gaining a front-row seat to how a show is broken, pitched, and polished.

- Location: Must be based in the Tri-State area (NY/NJ/CT) and able to attend in-person sessions in Manhattan.
