WHAM! POW! JHRTS had its first ever event at San Diego Comic-Con. After the long nights fighting crime, JHRTS members deserved a fresh cup of coffee early on Saturday morning. The members (and some non-members) met up at Defiance Cafe in The Hard Rock Hotel to grab a coffee before the day’s events. Many came and chatted of events attended or parties thrown. Thank you to everyone that came, hope we can do this again next year!
Also, on Thursday July 11th, over a hundred and fifty JHRTS members packed in the back of an unassuming comic book store for an unforgettable night of free comedy, free pizza and free fun. The NerdMelt theater, now in just it’s third year of existence, has quickly cemented itself alongside comedy giants such as UCB and The Improv as one of LA’s premier places to see alternative comedy. And while the theater frequently features guests like Louis CK, Aziz Ansari, Demetri Martin and Robin Williams, on this night it was home to some of today’s hottest up and coming comedians. Hosted by Shelby Fero, members were treated to some fantastic comedy stylings from comedians such as Ron Funches, Danny Solomon, Blake Wexler, Sean Patton and many more! Can’t wait to do it again next year!
