Sandra Stern, COO of Lionsgate Televison, joined JHRTS for a roundtable discussion on Thursday, April 19th. She shared extensively about her experiences working on the business affairs side of television, she discussed her career path leading up to her current position, and she spoke about the novel and changing business models Lionsgate utilizes in its television strategy. JHRTS members had the opportunity to learn all about the 10-90 model Lionsgate has been using with many of its series, including Charlie Sheen’s new series Anger Management. Sandra also spoke about the future of television, and in particular about how the changing distribution models with services such as Netflix will continue to affect traditional forms of distributions and home entertainment. She was wonderful as a speaker and held an extensive Q&A session when she was finished speaking.
