Scott Hervey is an entertainment, intellectual property, and business attorney who works with companies in a variety of different industries. He represents traditional entertainment and digital media companies, technology companies, early-stage investors, and all varieties of brand-driven enterprises, in financings, mergers and acquisitions, licensing, and other general business transactions.
Scott’s entertainment practice is primarily in the area of television and digital media. Scott regularly represents television production companies in network negotiations and has served as production and clearance counsel on television programming for Netflix, History, Go90, The CW, E!, VH1, NatGeo, WGN, CMT, WEtv, TruTV, Discovery, and A&E.
In the area of emerging media, Scott represents investors, venture capital funds, and emerging growth companies in financing transactions. Scott also represents top digital media content creators, digital media studios, YouTube Networks, and other new technology companies in a wide variety of matters including acquisitions, production, clearance, and general business matters. Scott previously served as the acting business affairs director for the publicly traded digital content company, Digital Music Group, Inc. (now The Orchard).
Scott was featured in Variety’s 2014 Legal Impact Report and is a 2017 Super Lawyer®. Scott is a professor of entertainment law at King Hall law school, U.C, Davis and he serves on the board of directors of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society (HRTS).
Scott has extensive knowledge and experience in trademark law. He has represented clients in domestic and international trademark registration and enforcement in a variety of industries such as gaming (i.e., slot machine manufacturer Aristocrat Technologies), entertainment and hospitality (i.e., the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas), wine and spirit brands (i.e., Popcorn Sutton’s Tennessee White Whiskey and Oak Ridge Winery), medical devices (i.e., Cesca Therapeutics) and sports and entertainment.
Greg Lipstone is President of Propagate, a fast-growing global content production and distribution studio.
Prior to joining Propagate, Lipstone was CEO of All3Media America. Earlier, he was a founding partner and board member at ICM Partners, a leading talent and literary agency representing clients in the fields of motion pictures, television, publishing, music, theater, branded entertainment, and digital media. Lipstone oversaw the agency’s international television and media department.

Lipstone is the third generation of a family that has devoted over 100 years working in the entertainment business. Lipstone worked at the William Morris Agency for 21 years, initially as a trainee and subsequently rising through the ranks to head the agency’s network television department.
Lipstone is a member of the Board of Governors for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, an Associate Member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and on the board of directors for NATPE and the Hollywood Radio & Television Society (HRTS). Born and raised in L.A., he received a BA from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Gretchen Stockdale Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel, Pilgrim Media Group
Gretchen Stockdale serves as Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel, and on the Board of Directors of Pilgrim Media Group, a Lionsgate company. Pilgrim is recognized as one of the industry’s most prolific production companies in non-fiction television, having over the past two and a half decades produced such notable series as Dirty Jobs, American Chopper, The Ultimate Fighter, Ghost Hunters, Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, Street Outlaws, Bring It!, Fast N’ Loud, My Big Fat Fabulous Life, and Wicked Tuna, to name just a few.
Since 2008, in addition to her leadership of Pilgrim’s in-house legal team, Stockdale has overseen the company’s expansion, including establishing dedicated business units in the areas of scripted, digital, branded, e-sports, and true crime. Stockdale also oversaw the company’s push into the feature documentary space, collaborating with emerging and established filmmakers alike to create compelling and critically acclaimed documentary programming. Pilgrim’s most recent film, Giving Voice, received the Festival Favorite Award at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. Other Pilgrim documentaries include multi-award-winning features Soufra (Hulu) and Tre Maison Dasan (PBS); revelatory chronicle The Boy Band Con: The Lou Pearlman Story (YouTube Premium), which premiered at SXSW; Audience Award winner of 2018’s Overlook Film Festival, Wolfman’s Got Nards (an homage to the 1987 cult classic, The Monster Squad); the much-buzzed-about profiles Lindsay and Michael Sam (OWN); and an avant-garde look at the urban agricultural revolution in Farming Detroit (FYI).
For her work at Pilgrim, in 2010 Stockdale was named a finalist in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Rising Star” Corporate Counsel awards; in 2011 was recognized by Variety as one of “The Best and The Brightest” in entertainment law; in 2016 was named a “Top Dealmaker” by Broadcasting and Cable magazine; and in 2017 was recognized by Cynopsis as one of the “Top Women in Digital.”
Prior to Pilgrim, Stockdale was an associate attorney for six years with Hill, Farrer & Burrill in Los Angeles where in addition to copyright and trademark prosecution she focused on general business litigation, including defending labor and employment matters on behalf of management and representing intellectual property owners. During that time she served on the editorial board of Los Angeles Lawyer magazine for four years, and was named a “Southern California Super Lawyer – Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine in 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.
Stockdale graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School in 2002 and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While at Loyola, she was Executive Editor of the Law Review, an extern for Judge Margaret M. Morrow, U.S. District Court, Central District of California, a member of the St. Thomas More Law Honor Society, and a Henry C. Yuen Scholar in Law and Technology. In 2019 Loyola honored her with its Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award.
Currently, Stockdale serves on the Loyola Law School Board of Directors and the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity Campaign Board (Missouri Alpha chapter). She also maintains an active membership with the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, Producers Guild of America, and International Documentary Association.
DJ Nurre Executive Vice President, Unscripted Original Series, Endemol Shine North America
DJ Nurre was named Executive Vice President, Unscripted Original Series, Endemol Shine North America, in March 2018.
Nurre oversees all unscripted current programming, as well as, all pilots and presentations for the Los Angeles-based production company. Nurre leads all current efforts on such Endemol Shine series as MasterChef and MasterChef Jr. (FOX) and recent launches Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (HGTV), LEGO Masters (FOX), and The Biggest Loser (USA).
Nurre joined Endemol Shine North America from 3 Ball Entertainment, where he formerly served as Executive Vice President, Programming and Development. There he headed up all development for the production company, focusing on the creation of IP for broadcast, cable, digital and OTT, and managing 3 Ball’s casting and development teams, while also managing their current programming efforts.
A seasoned showrunner, Nurre spent 13 years at 3 Ball, championing some of that studio’s highest-rated and longest-running series, including Spike’s (now Paramount Network’s) hit Bar Rescue, Catch a Contractor (Spike), Flying Wild Alaska (Discovery) LA Hair (We) and CNBC’s Adventure Capitalists.
Nurre’s other credits include hits such as The Biggest Loser, Beauty and The Geek, and For Love or Money.
He first joined 3 Ball as an editor in 2004 and previously served as Senior Vice President, Development, and Current for the studio.
Nurre is a graduate of the USC School of Cinema – Television and resides in Los Angeles.

Marc Juris is a uniquely talented creative executive with a proven track record of creating and developing brands and compelling original content for television and digital platforms across numerous networks.
As president and general manager of WE tv, Juris oversees all aspects of the network’s creative and business functions, including original program development and production, marketing and digital, advertising and promotional efforts, business affairs, and long and short-term planning and strategy.
Juris joined WE tv in 2013, and since then has increased the network’s viewership, its slate of original unscripted programming, and led a network rebrand. WE tv’s unscripted shows are some of the most buzzed-about in pop culture, including the popular franchises Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and Growing Up Hip Hop, the long-running signature series Braxton Family Values, and the breakout hit series Love After Lockup, spinoff Life After Lockup and the cult favorite phenomenon Bridezillas. Prior to joining WE tv, Juris engineered the radical reinvention of CourtTV to truTV, creating a top-ten cable network in less than four years. Under his leadership, truTV experienced unprecedented momentum. Propelled by over 300 hours of original programming every year, with 30 unique series like Hardcore Pawn, Impractical Jokers, Storage Hunters, Operation Repo, Full Throttle Saloon, and South Beach Tow, truTV finished 2012 with its best-ever primetime deliveries of key demos.
Before he joined truTV, Juris was president of FUSE Network, where he led the rapid growth and rebranding of the former MuchMusicUSA. He was among the first to identify and leverage the nascent power of social media to successfully launch the world’s first viewer-driven music network. During his tenure, FUSE emerged as a credible national alternative to music goliath MTV. Before joining FUSE, Juris was senior vice president of original programming and later general manager of AMC, where he developed and implemented the network’s strategic re-branding, along with its seamless transition from an ad-free to ad-supported network.
Also at Rainbow Networks (the predecessor company to AMC Networks), Juris served as senior vice president of regional programming for Metro Channels, where he developed, positioned, launched, and managed three regional, live television networks branded MetroTV. He also held positions at King World, CBS Television Network and CBS Cable.
With a keen awareness of marketer and consumer needs, Juris is a familiar and respected name in the affiliate and advertiser communities. A tireless collaborator and team builder, he works closely with business development, advertising, and affiliate sales to maximize revenue and drive growth.
A six-time EMMY award winner, Juris is a graduate of Syracuse University. He is an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences and a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television (BAFTA).
